Yoga, Pilates, Meditation & Detox Weekend Retreat - Marsh Farm House

Held at Marsh Farm House in the small hamlet of Binsted, near Arundel in West Sussex, this retreat provides the ideal getaway to allow you to relax and unwind.  The retreat venue is a large historical sixteenth century farmhouse, surrounded by beautiful countryside and gardens. About the classes:

During your stay with us, you will have opportunity to explore or further your practice in Pilates, Yoga, Meditation and Pranayama. Several classes are held throughout the day enabling you to pick the classes that are right for you.
Please note that if you are pregnant, have any injuries or illnesses and/or conditions Sally is happy to adapt the yoga postures or Pilates exercises accordingly.
Typically classes will cover the following:
Yoga
The Yoga classes are taught by Sally Parkes and are a combination of energising Dynamic Yoga in the morning followed by a more restorative practice of Hatha yoga later in the day. The emphasis of the postures will be on detoxification and together we will work through yoga postures that compress, twist and stretch the body in order to aid elimination via the digestive system.

Pilates
Pilates is an exercise method that is great for working the core area of the body including the abdominal area. It is very effective in reducing lower back pain and improving the muscle tone of the lower abdomen in particular.

Yoga Nidra: Deep Relaxation
Yoga Nidra (meaning 'yogic sleep') is a form of deep relaxation and is offered before bed to encourage restful sleep so you will feel refreshed & renewed both mentally & physically.


Pranayama: Breath Control
During the Yoga lessons we will also practice breathing techniques that will assist your detox and yoga practice by calming the nervous system & stimulating the digestive system.

Holistic Treatments

We hope that when you leave our retreat you will feel relaxed and rejuvenated. To help we provide a wide range of holistic therapies:
These treatments include:       
- Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage                      
- Holistic and Dermalogica Facials
- Indian Head Massage
- Pedicures and Manicures
 
Treatments are are available at extra cost and it is advised that you book before retreat. Costs are £30 for 30mins and £55 for 60mins. Please note all products used are not tested on animals. You can also request vegan only products for your treatment.

Food

   The phrases 'you are what you eat’ and 'wellness starts from within'  is our philosophy on food. We understand and
respect the important role it plays in the promotion of wellness and general good health. To aid your detoxification process our food is nutritionally balanced and well thought out to provide you with enough vital vitamins, minerals and energy to keep you tip-top throughout your stay with us. All food is vegetarian, dairy and wheat free and we are happy to cater for nut allergies, gluten free and vegan diets. As well as three meals per day we also provide fresh fruit and vegetable juices and afternoon snacks. Unlimited fresh fruit and a selection of teas are available throughout your stay.

Sunday:
8am-9.15am: Dynamic Yoga.
9.30am: Breakfast
12am-1pm: Pilates.
1-2pm: Lunch
3pm: Depart

Saturday:
8am-9.15am: Dynamic Yoga
9.30am: Breakfast
11.30am-12.30pm: Pilates
12.45-1.30pm: Lunch
1.30-6pm: Holistic treatments, free time, refreshments.
6.00-7.30pm: Hatha Yoga & Meditation
7.30-8.15pm: Dinner

Getting there

Marsh Farm House is in between the historic towns of Arundel and Chichester and is just a few miles from the sea and the South Downs. Marsh Farm is situated approximately 5 miles west of Arundel in the small hamlet of Binsted which is 2 miles from the A27.The mainline stations of Arundel and Barnham are just 5 miles from the Centre. Taxis cost approximatley £12. and are available at both stations.

Cost

The weekend costs £257 for a sharing room or £277 for a single room. Please note single rooms are very limited and are offered on a first come first served basis.

This cost includes all classes, accommodation, meals, snacks.

Fresh fruit and vegetable juices are made twice a day at no extra cost.
